Sam

Where did you do your work experience?

Norwich

What did you do?

I was given a tour around the hospital and every day I was assigned to a different area, including departments behind the scenes such as clinical engineering.

I went to pharmacy, the medical school, library, reception, sterile services and clinical engineering.

What did you enjoy most?

I enjoyed medical school the most, as I got to go into a lecture and take part in a lesson and a practical session with year 2 medical students.

I was also taught first aid and took blood from a prosthetic arm.

What did you learn?

I learnt many general facts about hospitals but also things about myself.

Also, I picked up many medical terms and was given ideas and help on what I can do to increase my chance of getting into medical school.

Do you have any advice for other people?

Do it! It really was brilliant!
