Where did you do your work experience?

Edmonton

What did you do?

I was in the Imaging Department of North Middlesex Hospital. I worked with someone else from my school and we alternated between the imaging room and inpatients. Some days I even went to the A&E imaging department and talked with other radiographers about their jobs and their university journeys. One radiographer actually went to Hertfordshire university which is the main university I want to attend.

What did you enjoy most?

I enjoyed learning about radiography from the frontline and behind the scenes. It was also fun to talk to my other colleagues about their jobs.

What did you learn?

I learnt about how patients get referred from their GP to the imaging department. I also liked learning how the paperwork was so important to the imaging process.

Do you have any advice for other people?

I would advise people to try and get work experience where ever they want to be, just to get a first hand look at what their future career could be like.
