Where did you do your work experience?

What did you do?

I worked at a day nursery where hospital staff children were cared for whilst their parents were at work. I helped to look after the children and I helped to feed the babies and make bottles, as well as play with the children and supervise them outside.

What did you enjoy most?

I really enjoyed looking after the young babies, feeding them and making bottles. I also enjoyed playing with them and watching them develop and grow.

What did you learn?

I learnt how much of a responsibility it is to look after young children and how to look after and care for them at their different stages of development.

Do you have any advice for other people?

It's just like working in any other nursery except this is in partneship with the NHS. It's a good job if you're interested in wanting to work with young children and also if you don't want to go away to university.
