Where did you do your work experience?

What did you do?

All sorts of things. I helped out in the out patients clinic, organising notes, calling patients in and sending them to x-ray. All the nurses were very busy so I was able to help.

I spent time shadowing the trauma sister and osteoporosis nurse and on a ward helping the staff and patients. I also went to the plaster room.

I did all of that in just one week!!

What did you enjoy most?

I loved my day on the ward. It was the best day ever! It definitely confirmed that nursing is what I want to do.

What did you learn?

That each and every person in the hospital is very important in their own way!

Do you have any advice for other people?

Get involved and ask to help, otherwise you could end up not doing a whole lot.
