Where did you do your work experience?

What did you do?

I saw some great work carried out by the maxillofacial and oral departments. I spent some time in the local anaesthetic unit, watched a procedure and visited a cancer clinic.

And a famous radiologist at the trust taught us about the mouth and teeth.

What did you enjoy most?

I liked spending time with the doctors and their patients, and seeing other healthcare professionals at work.

What did you learn?

I learnt about the mouth, what the maxillofacial and oral units do and how they operate. I also learnt about the department and how the team works together.

Do you have any advice for other people?

My work experience was fun and entertaining as well as educational. It allowed me to learn and experience new things that cannot be taught inside a classroom or on the internet.
